Everybody’s telling their story today…where they were. David, Kathy (friend & coworker), and I were at our deli, Anziano’s Deli, Downtown Chattanooga, Tennessee. It was a normal day for us. We didn’t have a television set there. We always had the radio on, but my mom’s phone call came first. Then several customers came in to share the news. It was a quiet day Downtown Chattanooga.
We lived on Signal Mountain at that time in my Aunt’s log cabin. After work that day we were glued to our televisions just like everyone else across the nation and we had dinner in front of the t.v. that night.
Today Luke, now 12 years old, says, “Mommy, can we pile up on your bed tonight like we always do and watch the 9-11 programs”. For those are my children’s memories of 9-11. We pray for those affected and we pray for our soldiers safety wherever they may be today.
I thank the Good Lord for the blessing of many rainbows he sent us this week. In remembrance that He is alive and with us. Genesis 9:13 I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.
